VENTURA COUNTY, CA — A preliminary 3.5-magnitude earthquake shook the mountains of Ventura County on Saturday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.
A report from the U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck around 12:21 p.m.
The epicenter was about 9.4 miles northwest of Filmore, at a depth of roughly 14.9 miles.
According to the USGS, shaking was felt widely across Ventura County and the San Fernando Valley and as far south as Mission Viejo in Orange County.
It's unclear if anyone suffered injuries in the quake.
