Angry Bees Swarm LA County High School, Hospitalizing 50 Students
Hundreds of agitated bees swarmed through a high school in Palmdale stinging dozens of students.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A frenzied swarm of bees invaded a Los Angeles County school, sending more than 50 students to the Hospital in Palmdale Tuesday.
The campus at Palmdale High School had to be partial evacuated Tuesday when dozens of students were stung by the bee swarm, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported. Authorities haven't been able to identify all the bee sting victims yet.
Paramedics were sent to the campus in the 2100 block of East Avenue R about 12:10 p.m., a dispatcher said. The dispatcher said there were no reports of anyone going into shock.

Firefighters used water hoses in an effort to disperse the bees, which apparently became agitated when a hive was inadvertertently disturbed.
