Another Threat Triggers Evacuation At SAG-AFTRA Headquarters
It's the second time this week that the actors union has been threatened.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A telephone threat to the SAG-AFTRA headquarters building on Wilshire Boulevard forced the building's evacuation for the second time this week Thursday morning.
Authorities are investigating the threat made against the actor's union located in the 5700 block of Wilshire Boulevard in the Miracle Mile area. On Tuesday, a similarly telephone threat prompted evacuations at SAG offices in Los Angeles and Manhattan, but no threat was found.
Tuesday's threat was of an unknown nature, and the actors union offices in both cities were evacuated as a precaution, according to a spokeswoman for the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. No injuries were reported in the incident, which remains under investigation.
