Armed And Dangerous Man Sought In Shooting Of Puppy: LAPD
Police say David Sumlin tormented his victim during a domestic dispute pointing a gun at their puppy, saying "It's either you or the dog."

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police are asking for help finding a homeless man accused of shooting a puppy during a domestic dispute in Los Angeles this week. Authorities warn that he may be armed and dangerous.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the shooting occurred shortly before noon Monday when 32-year-old David Sumlin held a pillow over his victim's four-month-old puppy and pointed a gun at it, saying "It's either you or the dog." Then he shot the dog twice, according to investigators.
Responding police officers took the puppy to an animal shelter, where it died.

Sumlin is described as a 6-foot-7-inch tall man weighing 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He's known to frequent the area near Seventh Street and Stanford Avenue in downtown Los Angeles.
Investigators did not recover the gun used in the shooting. Anyone who sees Sumlin is advised to call 911.
