SHERMAN OAKS, CA — The California Highway Patrol (CHP) issued a SIG Alert Wednesday morning after a big rig overturned on the northbound 101 Freeway past Van Nuys Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, just before the 405 Freeway.

The SIG alert was cancelled later Wednesday afternoon and all lanes reopened, CHP said.

The 405 remained accessible throughout the morning, but there were major delays as only two left lanes were left open in the wake of the crash, according to the California Department of Transportation.
