Body Found Trapped In Elevator Door In Downtown Los Angeles
Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found trapped in the door of an elevator of a 6-story building.
LOS ANGELES, CA — The body of a man apparently killed in a freak elevator incident in Downtown Los Angeles was discovered Wednesday.
The man was found dead in the doorway of a freight elevator in the back of a commercial building in the 800 block of South Broadway shortly before noon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The unidentified victim was "discovered deceased, trapped at the 2nd floor level freight elevator doorway at the rear of a 6 story commercial building," according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Brian Humphrey.

"LAFD responders will assist the Coroner's Office with the safe, discreet and dignified recovery of his remains," Humphrey added.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the person, described by the fire
