LOS ANGELES, CA — As the weekend wraps up, we've rounded up all the stories you may have missed over the weekend to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should get those umbrellas and raincoats ready because rain is in the forecast for Monday morning. The National Weather Service is forecasting a brief cold front for the Southland which is expected to bring some rainfall to the bone-dry area Monday.

Also, 13 counties — three in the Southland — moved under the less restrictive red coronavirus tier on the state's reopening blueprint on Sunday after the state hit a key vaccination equity metric on Friday. Thirteen more counties are expected to move into the red tier on Wednesday.
