Brush Breaks Out In Angeles National Forest
The fire quickly scorched 11 acres as crews from the U.S. Forest Service and the Los Angeles Fire Department battled the blaze.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A brush fire broke out in the Angeles National Forest near the Bouquet Reservoir, quickly scorching about 11 acres Wednesday.
The blaze dubbed the Sierra Fire broke out at about 3:15 p.m near Bouquet Canyon and Spunky Canyon around 3:15 p.m, according to U.S. Forest Service Within an hour, it had grown to between 10 and 15 acres, officials estimated. By 5:15 p.m., the fire was 25 percent contained.
Crews from the national forest service and the Los Angeles Fire Department are on the scene battling the blaze.

There are structures in the path of the fire, but they are not being immediately threatened, on-scene crews are reporting.
