Brush Fire Scorches Eight Acres In Angeles National Forest Near Littlerock

Fire crews sent at least one water-dropping helicopter to the scene to battle the blaze.

LITTLEROCK, CA — Crews scrambled to contain a fire in Angeles National Forest near Littlerock Friday, holding the blaze to about eight acres with no structures destroyed or injuries reported.

The fire was reported about 10 a.m. in the area of Mt. Emma and Cheseboro roads, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, which sent at least one water-dropping helicopter to the scene to assist in the firefight.

The incident commander announced about 11 a.m. that the fire's spread had been stopped with around eight acres burned.
