Photographic Arts Council Los Angeles (PAC LA) presents “Photography Meets Sculpture” with Eve Schillo on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 7:00pm, at the Beverly Hills Public Library. The LACMA curator will lead an in-depth lecture exploring the relationship between photography and sculpture.
Schillo will offer an early preview of her forthcoming exhibition, “Photography Meet Sculpture: Talking about Photo Hybrids” (working title), highlighting contemporary women artists who incorporate lens based work with sculpture. The exhibition is scheduled to tour Southern California beginning in Summer 2027 as part of LACMA’s Local Access initiative. PAC LA’s free, in-person event at the library (444 N Rexford Dr., 2nd Floor, Beverly Hills, CA 90210) is part of its 2026 Year of Innovation series. Advance registration is highly recommended. Through conversations, lectures, and public programs, the series examines innovation from both historical and contemporary perspectives, considering how artists, curators, and institutions continue to expand the possibilities of photography today.

PAC LA presents “Photography Meets Sculpture” with Eve Schillo

A young woman plans her wedding at the Greek island hotel of her free-spirited mother, not revealing that she has invited three of her mom’s former lovers in an attempt to identify her biological father. Phyllida Lloyd (The Iron Lady, 2011) made her feature directing debut with this lively film version of the blockbuster Broadway musical, which incorporates the hit songs of the Swedish group ABBA. The all-star international cast is led by Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried as mother and daughter, with Christine Baranski and Julie Walters as Streep’s former bandmates and Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgård as the possible fathers. The song score includes such pop classics as “Dancing Queen,” “Waterloo” and the title number.
Lyrics will appear... on screen during the songs. Audience participation strongly encouraged.

Loyola Marymount University’s Shakespeare on the Bluff presents free performances of “The Comedy of Errors.”

Cast members will set the scene on the Drollinger Family Stage in Lawton Plaza on LMU’s Westchester campus, where guests can bring low lawn chairs, refreshments, and enjoy the show from Thursday, June 11, through Saturday, June 13.

This year, production has been made possible thanks to presenting sponsors Channing Lindsay ’96, the Brannan Family, and Robert and Diane Ballantyne.
