Families can create their own stop-motion animations inspired by Ponyo (2008), depicting stories of friendship like the one we see that blossoms between Ponyo and Sosuke. Also be sure to check out Studio Ghibili’s PONYO, our newest exhibition opening February 14.

Stay tuned for upcoming workshop themes.

We also encourage visitors to attend our weekly Family Matinees film series. A separate admission ticket is required.

The Education team invites families to join museum educators every month to be inspired by the museum’s exhibitions and screenings to create, learn, and have fun. If you have any questions or need assistance planning your visit, please email museumeducation@oscars.org.

This program is made possible in part by a grant from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.

Academy Museum education programs are supported by Melina and Eric Esrailian, Apple TV+, Kathy Fields and Garry Rayant, Miryam and Robert Knutson, Ruderman Family Foundation, The James Irvine Foundation, Snap Foundation, Chandra Wilson, and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
