Witching Hour Afternoon Tea at Chado Tea Room

Spooky season is creeping in, and Chado Tea Room is casting a spell on its signature afternoon tea with the launch of its new Witching Hour Afternoon Tea. Available Thursday, October 1, at all Chado locations (Downtown LA, Hollywood, Torrance, and Pasadena). This limited-time tea service invites guests to get into the Halloween spirit and enjoy a themed tea experience, complete with playful menu names, seasonal bites, and festive touches throughout. 

The Witching Hour Afternoon Tea starts with a witch’s welcome refresher and a choice of cream of pumpkin soup or spooky skeleton caprese salad, followed by an assortment of tea sandwiches and pastries, plus a choice of one of Chado’s bewitching brew teas ($78 per person). Menu highlights include:

• Savory Delights: A three-tiered tea stand featuring four Halloween-inspired finger sandwiches, options such as cucumber & cream cheese and smoked salmon with dill
• Scones & Sweets: Shattered glass scones served with witch’s cream and bewitched berry jam, spellbound butter cookies & witch’s spell cupcakes
• Tea Blends: Halloween teas include options like Black Magic, Día de los Muertos, Basic Witch, and Pumpkin Spice Chai
