Chilly Temps, Precipitation And Wind Expected To Continue In LA County This Week
A string of inclement weather systems are expected to bring chilly temperatures and precipitation to parts of Southern California.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A series of storms are set to bring wind, precipitation and cooler temperatures to Southern California this week, but Los Angeles is expected to be spared from the rain, according to the National Weather Service.
“Today’s the first day of the somewhat inclement weather coming in,” David Sweet, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard, told the Los Angeles Times Wednesday.
While less than a quarter-inch of rain was expected to fall Wednesday in Los Angeles County, precipitation skipped the region, though chilly temperatures persisted.

Lows are expected to drop to around 50 degrees Wednesday night. Thursday will bring mostly cloudy skies that will clear out by the afternoon, with highs in the upper 60s in Central Los Angeles and cooler temperatures in the valleys, according to the NWS.
Lows will drop to the mid 40s Thursday night, with sunny skies bringing highs in the mid to upper 60s on Friday, the NWS forecasted.

Chilly temperatures will return Thursday night, when showers are expected Thursday night for the mountains near the Kern County line. While the snow line will fall to around 5,500 feet, it shouldn't be low enough for snow along the 5 Freeway, according to the NWS.
Dry, windy conditions are expected for Saturday, especially in the Santa Clarita and San Fernando valleys, according to the NWS.
Temperatures are set to warm up by Sunday, when highs around 70 are expected.
