Chuck Norris Dies At 86: Remembering The Action-Hero Icon in Photos

LOS ANGELES, CA — Chuck Norris, the iconic action-hero movie star, died on Thursday at the age of 86. His family described his death as a "sudden passing" as the actor leaves behind a legacy of roles that has helped to shape American culture into what it is today.

“While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace,” the family said in a statement posted to social media. Most famously known for “Walker, Texas Ranger,” Norris starred in a slew of television shows and movies that made him the token tough guy of Hollywood.
