Supermodel's Son Dies Suddenly At 27, Investigation Ongoing: Report

LOS ANGELES, CA — Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, who was also a model himself, has died at the age of 27, according to the the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office.

Presley, who publicly battled with substance abuse, died Sunday at a rehab facility. The exact cause of death is not yet known as an autopsy hasn't been completed, per TMZ.

"The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult time and painful time," a representative for Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, TMZ reported.

In 2019, he was arrested for a DUI after being stopped while driving a Tesla at 4 a.m. in Beverly Hills. A judge sentenced Presley to 3 years of probation, and ordered him complete a DUI program, and two days of community service, TMZ reported.

Gerber was signed by IMG Models, a talent agency, by the time he was 15. He and his sister Kaia Gerber, who is also a model, went to high school in Southern California while also professionally modeling, The New York Times reported.

At the age of 17, Presley Gerber modeled in in campaigns for multiple major fashion labels, including Dolce & Gabbana and Moschino.

His parents said his name was inspired by Elvis Presley after a dinner with a music executive who married an ex-girlfriend of Elvis Presley, The New York Times reported.

Presley is survived by his mother, father and sister.
