County Firefighters Rescue Teens From Storm Drain

Three teens crawled into a storm drain Sunday, and it took firefighters an hour to find and rescue two of them.

LOS ANGELES, CA - County firefighters rescued two teens, who, along with a third, crawled into an 8-inch storm drain for some unknown reason Sunday in Whittier.

The storm drain was located near 15300 E. Dittmar Dr., and a 911 call about the missing teens came in about 4:50 p.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Art Marrujo said.

One of the three teens made it out safely on his own, Marrujo said.
