Día de los Muertos Celebration Returning To Hollywood Forever
The cemetery will host Día de los Muertos and Noche de los Muertos events Oct. 30, after they were canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

LOS ANGELES, CA —Hollywood Forever Cemetery announced Tuesday that its Día de los Muertos celebration will return next month after it was canceled last year because of the pandemic. The event will feature two ticketed events, one during the day and one in the evening, the cemetery said.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct 30, a Día de los Muertos event will held, while a second Noche de los Muertos event will take place from 5 p.m. until midnight that day. Both events will feature over 100 altars created by community members in remembrance of their ancestors and loved ones, art exhibitions, dance, a children's plaza, cultural performers, arts and crafts vendors and culinary vendors, according to organizers.
The them of this year's event is "The Return of Quetzalcoatl," named for the plumed serpent that was an major deity for the Mayans and Aztecs.

Tickets to the Día de los Muertos event are $40 for general admission and $150 for VIP access and can be purchased online. Noche de los Muertos tickets are $50 for general admission and $200 for VIP access and can be purchased online.
