Domestic Violence Suspect Arrested After Long Standoff In LA

LOS ANGELES, CA — A domestic violence suspect holed up inside a residence in downtown Los Angeles overnight, surrendering without incident this morning, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday to a residence in the 700 block of South Spring Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

At some point, a SWAT team was dispatched to the location.

The suspect surrendered to police at 9:07 a.m. Sunday, according to Officer Norma Eisenman of the LAPD's Media Relations Division.
