Eat Your 'Hart' Out: Comedian Kevin Hart Opens Plant-Based, LA Eatery
In Westchester, Hart House restaurant serves "can't-believe-it" burg'rs, chick'n sandwiches, salads, fries & shakes - all 100% plant-based.
WESTCHESTER, CA — Comedian and actor Kevin Hart is now in the restaurant biz, opening his first plant-based eatery, Hart House, today on South Sepulveda Boulevard in the Westchester neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Hart said he and his team aim to "disrupt" the fast-food industry with affordable, "can't-believe-it," healthy alternatives.
The Hart House menu features burg'rs, chick'n sandwiches, salads, nuggets, fries, tots and milkshakes — all 100% plant-based and free of cholesterol, antibiotics, hormones, artificial colors, preservatives, high-fructose corn syrup or trans fats, according to the company.

“As someone who has been preaching ‘Health is Wealth,’ building Hart House felt like the natural evolution of my flexitarian lifestyle and my business ecosystem,'' Hart said. “I’m beyond proud of this industry-changing restaurant and the amazing team behind it, working tirelessly to create delicious, sustainable food that delivers 'Can't-Believe-It' flavor in every bite.”
The 3,000-square-foot, Westchester locale offers indoor and outdoor seating, along with a colorful mural reading, “Change You’ll Crave,” designed by artist Nicollete Santos, who also has created works for Harley Davidson, Marvel and Nike, management said.

"Hart House is revolutionizing quick-service restaurants now and delivering a ground-breaking culinary experience that shatters the expectations of what plant-based food can be," CEO Andy Hooper said. “We’ve curated delicious, craveable food you know and love like burgers, shakes, nuggets and more.”
On a mission to be “plant-based for the people,” Hart House also pledges living wages and "best-in-class benefits" for employees, officials said, adding that 10 percent of opening-day proceeds will be donated to Inner City Arts, a non-profit that supports Los Angeles Unified School District students.
Hart House plans to open 10 restaurants within the next 12 months, the company said.
In Westchester, Hart House, at 8901 S. Sepulveda Blvd., is open daily 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Follow this link for more info and menu details.
