Encampment Fire Spreads To Nearby Business In Highland Park
The greater alarm fire broke out just after 2 a.m. Wednesday.

HIGHLAND PARK, CA — A greater alarm fire broke out at a Highland Park homeless encampment and spread to a nearby business early Wednesday morning.
Los Angeles Fire Department crews were called to the scene at 6029 N. Figueroa St. just after 2 a.m. Wednesday, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The blaze spread to a small business at a nearby strip mall he added.

About 75 Firefighters battled for 40 minutes to put out the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No one was injured in the fire, according to authorities.
