At the center of the collaboration is The Athletic's new editorial series, Language of Soccer, featuring 48 fan group profiles, one for every nation competing in this summer's tournament. Each profile explores the chants, phrases and expressions that define a country's football culture, giving fans an inside look at the traditions that unite supporters around the world.

Beginning June 1, the profiles are being released on a rolling basis, offering readers a unique glimpse into the emotions, history and identity behind every competing nation.

"The tournament is one of the few moments when the entire world comes together through one shared passion," said Sam Kitaj, North America Director for Classic Football Shirts. Fans who purchase a Classic Football Shirts jersey representing one of the participating tournament nations in June will receive a complimentary three-month subscription to The Athletic, while supplies last. The promotion is available both online and at all five U.S. retail locations.
To further enrich the experience, select jerseys will include hang tags featuring excerpts from The Athletic's Language of Soccer profiles. Fans will leave stores with a deeper understanding of the chants, traditions and cultural significance behind the badge they proudly wear.
