Farmer Boys In L.A. Launch Children’s Hospital Fundraiser

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA — Farmer Boys restaurants in Southern California, including several in Greater Los Angeles, kick off its annual fundraising campaign next week to benefit Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in Loma Linda, a community-outreach program that has raised nearly $870,000 in the past 19 years for clinical care and research.

Diners who donate $1 will receive $1 off a future visit, and those who give $5 will get a free "Big Cheese" burger on their next visit, according to the Riverside-based chain, sponsoring the hospital benefit for the 19th year.

“It’s that time of the year when our guests can do something good and get something delicious,” said Larry Rusinko, Farmers Boys vice president. “We are proud to collaborate with our team members, franchisees and patrons to give back and improve the lives of children and families across Southern California through continued support for Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.”

Since the fundraising effort began in 2000 for LLU Children's Hospital, the burger chain has raised more than $869,000 for the facility that provides clinical care and outreach programs to children from throughout Southern California. Donations also fund research, company officials said.

The fundraiser runs at nearly all California locations from July 23 to Sept. 2, 2019.
