Fire Breaks Out At Northridge Restuarant During Lunch Rush
Los Angeles firefighters were able to put out the attic fire at the busy Devonshire Street restaurant Thursday afternoon.
NORTHRIDGE, CA — A strip mall fire damaged a Denny's restaurant in Northridge Thursday during the lunch rush. Firefighters were able to stop the blaze before it spread to neighboring businesses.
Los Angeles firefighters were called to the L-shaped strip mall at 17018 West Devonshire Street just after 12:30 p.m. Forty-eight firefighters took just 22 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish the fire within the attic fire of the Denny's, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
No one was hurt in the blaze, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
