Fire Scorches Attic In South Los Angeles

Fire crews responded to calls for a fire that ignited in an attic in South Los Angeles Saturday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Fire crews quelled a fire in an attic at a single-story home in South Los Angeles on Saturday, authorities said.

Firefighters responded to calls for the fire at 7:55 a.m. to 3821 S. Hobart Blvd. and had the blaze out within 18 minutes of their arrival, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
