Firefighters Battle Nightclub Blaze In Canoga Park

Firefighters Sunday knocked down an outdoor fire near an electrical panel for a one-story nightclub in Canoga Park, authorities said.

CANOGA PARK, CA — Firefighters Sunday knocked down an outdoor fire near an electrical panel for a one-story nightclub in Canoga Park, authorities said.

Firefighters dispatched at 8:06 a.m. to 8229 N. Canoga Ave. had the fire out within 19 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

"Crews simultaneously forced interior access and employed thermal imaging to assess all interior spaces for fire extension," said Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
