Firefighters Douse Electrical Vault Fire At Downtown LA Parking Garage

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power responded to the scene due to the electrical vault involvement.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Firefighters Saturday knocked down an electrical vault fire on the second floor of a three-story, U-shaped parking structure in downtown Los Angeles.

The 64 firefighters dispatched at 9:49 a.m. Saturday to 737 S. Wall St. had the fire out within 37 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power responded to the scene due to the electrical vault involvement, the LAFD's Jennifer Middleton said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
