Firefighters Put Out Brush Fire Near Montecito Heights Homes
The fire was reported at 2:43 p.m. at 3025 North Sierra St.

MONTECITO HEIGHTS, CA -- Firefighters Saturday put out a one-acre grass fire that burned near homes in Montecito Heights, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 2:43 p.m. at 3025 North Sierra St., Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Amy Bastman said. It had blackened about 2,500 square feet of grass when firefighters arrived and was burning near several homes, Bastman said.
The flames were out at 3:35 p.m. and contained to one acre with no homes damaged or evacuations ordered, she said.
