Five Taken to Hospital From Glendale Freeway Crash

Three of the patients were in critical condition, including an 81-year- old man.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Five people were taken to a trauma center Saturday following a three-vehicle collision on the Glendale (2) Freeway in Glassell Park, authorities said. The collision between a blue Subaru, a red pickup truck and a white pickup truck was reported at about 3:10 p.m. on the southbound Glendale Freeway at San Fernando Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Three of the patients were in critical condition, including an 81-year- old man, a 53-year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman, the Los Angeles Fire Department's Amy Bastman said. A 53-year-old man and a 52-year-old man were in serious condition.

"All patients were from the same vehicle," Bastman said. "No other patients were transported from the other two vehicles."
