Former LA Charter School Dean Pursued Underage Student: LAPD
Detectives are seeking additional victims of an educator suspected of pursuing a sexual relationship with an underage student at the school.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The former Dean of a small charter school in Watts was arrested for allegedly pursuing a sexual relationship with an underaged student, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Detectives are asking additional victims to come forward.
Roger Scott, 43, was arrested last week on suspicion of contacting a minor with knowledge and intent to commit specified sexual offenses, according to the LAPD.
Investigators allege Scott sent inappropriate sexual text messages and emails, pursuing a student for sexual intercourse over a two-year period while he worked at a high school in the 9700 block of Holmes. It appears to ne the location of College Bridge Academy's Watts campus where he was married to a former teacher and principal. The charter school has four locations.

Scott's bail was set at $25,000. He was released on bail the same day he was arrested.
The case began when a student reported the alleged harassment to police. Scott's employment was terminated in November 2022, according to the LAPD.
