The driver surrenders to police in Woodland Hills Friday.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A suspected hit-and-run driver led police on a chance along the Ventura (101) Freeway Friday night before surrendering in Woodland Hills.
The chase began at about 10:31 p.m. near Ventura Boulevard and the southbound Ventura (101) Freeway when California Highway Patrol officers attempted to stop a silver Toyota Camry they suspected had been involved in a collision, said a CHP spokeswoman. The driver failed to stop, and the chase began.
It ended a short time later at Burbank Boulevard and Owensmouth Avenue at 10:57 p.m. when the driver stopped in a parking lot and surrendered to CHP officers.
