Human Remains Discovered At Port Of LA

Details about the remains found at the Los Angeles port were unavailable and the investigation is ongoing.

SAN PEDRO, CA — Authorities are investigating the discovery of unknown human remains recovered at the Port of Los Angeles, the L.A. Fire Department announced Monday.

LAFD responded to the scene at 4:42 p.m. Monday to assist LA Port police and the Coroner to recover the remains. No information on the identity or condition of the person was available according to authorities.

The victim's age, gender, attire, circumstances and port or vessel affiliation were also not available.
