Heat-Stricken Hiker Hoisted To Safety At Runyon Canyon Park
A 23-year-old woman was hoisted to safety by a Los Angeles Fire Department helicopter Saturday after she suffered heat exhaustion.

HOLLYWOOD HILLS WEST, CA - A 23-year-old woman was air-lifted to safety by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel in a helicopter Saturday. The reportedly suffered heat exhaustion in a remote area of Runyon Canyon Park.
The incident was reported at 4:14 p.m. on a remote trail of the park at 2000 N. Fuller Ave., said Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for LAFD.
"She will soon be hoisted aboard a hovering LAFD helicopter for in- flight care by LAFD Flight Paramedics during direct transport to an area hospital," Humphrey said.
