Jack Price Shares 'Trade Secrets with Jack Price' as a Life Guide for Others
Jack Price, of Price Rubin & Partners, posts video blog (vlog) in an effort to inform via life experiences.
Jack Price, founder of Price Rubin & Partners and concert pianist formerly known as Dickran Atamian, in a weekly Sunday vlog called “Trade Secrets with Jack Price,” reveals not only his life in the music business, but imparts wisdom to others by using real-life experiences. He also discusses business-focused topics, such as marketing strategy, advertising, public relations, fundraising and more.
“I utilize my own life and career experiences as a guide for those who are in this daunting arena of entertainment,” said Price. “My goal is to pass on knowledge from my experiences, whether they be positive or negative, and present a guide of what to do and what not to do under certain circumstances.”
One such example from Price’s recent blog is about his cousin Sarkis G. Soghanalian, a larger-than-life, now deceased arms dealer who provided weapons to Saddam Hussein and numerous other dictators and rebels, who also worked with the CIA. Soghanalian, who died five years ago, was known as “The Merchant of Death.” Although he made millions of dollars as the Cold War’s largest arms merchant and was the subject of the movie “Lord of War,” Soghanalian died broke. Noted personalities that Jack Price met through Soghanalian were Mike Connors, Mark Geragos and Robert Kardashian. “The old adage ‘It’s all about who you know, who they know and how do they know them’ might apply here,” said Price. “You can learn from everyone.”

The moral of the story, adds Price, is “never do anything that you’d be sorry for. Sarkis was making over $12 million a month at his peak. It’s hard to have a moral in your mind when you are making that kind of money. He suffered a great deal because of his choice of occupation. Be careful what you pray for.”
