Judge Slaps Mel B's Former Nanny With 5-Year Restraining Order

The order is an extension of a temporary restraining order issued against Lorraine Gilles at the former Spice Girl's request in April.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A Los Angeles judge Wednesday issued a five-year restraining order against singer Mel B's former nanny as part of the former Spice Girl's ongoing divorce case.

The order was an extension of a temporary restraining order issued against Lorraine Gilles at Mel B's request in April.

Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, filed for divorce from husband Stephen Belafonte in March, beginning what has become a contentious battle for custody of their 5-year-old daughter. Mel B also has two other daughters.

The singer accuses Gilles of harassing her and argues that the nanny is refusing to disclose the location of a storage locker that allegedly contains sex tapes featuring the singer, along with other memorabilia. Mel B also alleges that Belafonte is trying to extort her, with Gilles' assistance, by threatening to release sex tapes -- allegations that Belafonte has flatly denied.

Gilles, meanwhile, filed a defamation lawsuit against Mel B, with the nanny claiming she had a consensual sexual relationship with the former Spice Girl and engaged in group sex with her and Belafonte.

Mel B's attorneys contend in court papers that Belafonte coerced the singer into group sex then got Gilles pregnant, but she aborted the pregnancy. Gilles denies that Belafonte was the father.
