LA County Fair Extends Night Hours To Beat The Heat
Thanks to the sweltering, record heat of 2019, Fair officials decided to extend the fair's evening hours for 2020.

POMONA, CA — The Los Angeles County Fair announced Thursday it will have longer nighttime hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays for its 2020 edition after record heat for the 2019 fair.
The fair will be open from 4-10 p.m. Wednesdays and 4 to 11 p.m. Thursdays offering "a fair experience during the cooler hours of the day," said Renee Hernandez, Fairplex's director of communications.
"The experience of an evening fair accommodates the comfort of fair guests," Hernandez said.

The fair will run from noon to midnight on Fridays, 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays, Hernandez said.
This year's theme is "We Light the Night: Experience the Glow," which will transform the fairgrounds from "retro futurism" during daylight hours to "an illuminated experience of the future at night and will feature high-voltage programming featuring lighted art installations and expanded entertainment, with a touch of agriculture and Americana," Hernandez said.
