The investigation involves allegations of lewd and lascivious acts.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- The sheriff's Special Victims Bureau has opened an investigation into allegations that a faculty member at Esteban E. Torres High School's East Los Angeles Renaissance Academy had inappropriate conduct with a student in May and June of this year, the department announced Friday.
The investigation involves allegations of lewd and lascivious acts, according to Deputy Armando Viera, who said the faculty member's name is being withheld because the probe is in the beginning stages and "it's ongoing."
Detectives do not believe there are additional alleged victims, he said.
