LA Man Fatally Shoots Woman In Domestic Violence Attack

The two were in a vehicle arguing when the man allegedly fired several shots at the woman.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A man fatally shot a woman in a domestic attack in the Vermont Knolls area of Southwest Los Angeles, police said Sunday. The shooting was just after 4 p.m. Saturday at 73rd Street and Vermont Avenue, Sgt. Thomas Bojorquez of the Los Angeles Police Department's 77th Street Station said.

The two were in a vehicle arguing when the man allegedly fired several shots at the woman, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the LAPD's Media Relations Section.

Paramedics rushed the victim, a 29-year-old woman, to an area hospital, where she later died from her wounds, Eisenman said.

The suspect, a man about 30 years-old, ran away, the sergeant said.

The victim and suspect were involved in a domestic relationship, Bojorquez said.
