LA-Native Jessica Cymone Makes a Splash on New Social App LIVIT

Today we also focus on Jessica Cymone , an upcoming and popular streamer on the LIVIT app. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Cymone is also a name you have seen before as she's a model and actress who has done campaigns for Nike and Fenty. She is working on her own independent hit web series titled “#IMBAE” where the theme is self care and self love.

I had the opportunity to speak with the artist about her creative endeavors alongside her involvement and success with the LIVIT app.

Q: What drove you to collaborate with the LIVIT app?

A: The pandemic is what actually drove me to collaborate with LIVIT. The app reached out to my agency, “The Jackson Agency” when the pandemic first began looking for new streamers. Because I was laid off from work due to COVID I had plenty of time on my hands. Who would’ve known how much it would actually change my life!

Q: What kind of content do you like to bring to your viewers?

A: Being an actress, I bring a variety of different content to my viewers that range from, but not limited to Game nights, makeup tutorials, chit chatting and reality shows!! Yes I said reality shows! Me and a few other streamers created a reality show called, “Love on LIVIT” where 5-10 contestants compete for a special someone’s heart! I was the guinea pig for season 1 and I can actually say that I found Love on LIVIT! We are now coming up on the finale of season 2!

I also have a show called, “JESS GOT SKILLS” where every Sunday, someone who is an expert in their field, calls in and teaches me a new skill. The first week a world renowned DJ taught me the basics on how to DJ. The second week a world renowned opera singer called in to teach me how to sing!!! For Valentine’s Day, my Valentine and I will learn how to do special arts and crafts.Then the week after, I have a streamer who is a black belt in Taekwondo coming in to teach me stage combat so that I am prepared for the action movie roles that are coming my way!!

The viewers really like when I just sit down and chat with them about real life situations that I may be going through or have gone through. As a content creator, actress, and model they love to see an insight on my life. When I give the raw experiences, raw emotions, and show them how everything is not always easy peasy, it makes them feel like it’s ok to not always have it together. It’s ok to make mistakes and it’s ok to forgive yourself, because they see me doing it.

Also My #1 compliment is that I am hilarious. So as we talk about these real life experiences, I add a bit of comedic relief to them also letting the viewers know that they can smile through the pain.

Q: What features do you like on the app that you don’t get on others like TikTok and Instagram?

A: Features that I like that I get on LIVIT opposed to other social media platforms is a real sense of community. I feel connected to my viewers. You feel as if you can really reach out and talk to everyone on LIVIT no matter what their status is. That promotes a feeling of equality.

The ability to make a passive income or even an aggressive income depending on how well you do on the app. The fact that viewers spend their hard earned money to gift you really lets you know that they are serious about supporting you. That says that they really believe in you! Which also makes you, the streamer, feel really good inside.

The possibilities and your resources are limitless.

On some apps they only allow a certain amount of people to get a notification that you are live due to their algorithm. Livit sends a notification to everyone who follows you to let them know that you’re now live. That gives you a fair shot at being seen by everyone on the app!

Q: What inspires you and drives your vision on the account?

A: The viewers! I want to give the viewers what they want because they support me through EVERYTHING!!! When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING!!! The good, the bad and the ugly. I created a web series called, #IMBAE. When it first premiered, my LIVIT family were the first ones there to support me. When I was dealing with someone trying to file false copyrights on my project, again the viewers were there to support me! They are loyal to their streamers.

The gifts and prizes from the events also drives my vision on LIVIT. I love how coming up with different strategies to get people to give you coins by hosting raffles, dare challenges, and LIVIT reality shows, really challenges your creativity.

Also knowing that I am spreading my name and my brand out to the world motivates me. The world can view me and at the click of a button. A livestream button. I always wanted to impact people on a global level and with LIVIT I am able to do just that!

Q: How has your streaming routine changed since the pandemic?

A: Of course when the pandemic hit I had plenty of time on my hands so I would stream everyday sometimes for hours. Then my job called me back to work so I had to balance work and streaming. That absolutely threw a monkey wrench into my streaming schedule, but I have adapted since then. It’s important for me to get back to my viewers. They are like family.

I find that scheduling ahead of time for my streams works best. My schedule changes each week so I try to schedule my streams for the week on Thursdays.

Q: How has streaming overall on LIVIT helped you to connect with fans and viewers around the world?

A: I was a part of a league called, “Love and kindness” before I started my on league, #BAECREW. Some of our league members reside in the Philippines, Germany, Argentina and all around the United States. It has allowed me to make genuine connections with people all around the world who support me in the best ways that they can, albeit spreading my brand, buying merch, or consistently showing up and gifting me in my live streams.

Q: At the end of the day, what do you want viewers to take away from your streams?

A: At the end of the day all I want people to take away from my streams is good energy and a good laugh. When they leave my stream I want them to feel empowered. I want them to feel like they can achieve any dream that has been lingering in their heart by just being unapologetically you!
