LA Sheriff's Detective Stabbed, 2-Hour Manhunt Ends With Arrest
A Los Angeles Sheriff's Detective has been stabbed by a suspect, who was arrested after a two-hour manhunt: BREAKING.

SANTA CLARITA, CA — A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Detective was stabbed in a fast food restaurant in Canyon Country, and police arrested his alleged attacker after a two-hour manhunt.
The detective, a 26-year veteran of the department, has been rushed to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. The sheriff's department did not release a condition report, but a deputy told an ABC7 reporter at the scene that the detective was stabbed in the chest at a Jack in the Box restaurant at 18955 Soledad Canyon Road but was expected to survive.
The suspect fled the area and a swarm of deputies flooded the area, surrounding a home in the area of Nearbrook Street and Altamere Avenue.

Shortly after noon, a suspect identified as 21-year-old Donald Chinchilla was taken into custody with the help of a canine officer in the backyard of the home. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the encounter with the dog.
Sheriff's officials said they have had contact with the suspect in the past, as recently as Saturday, although details have not been released.
