LAFD Assists Injured Hiker Near Griffith Park

Officials were preparing for a potential air hoist operation for an injured hiker, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Paramedics in Los Angeles were preparing to assist a 46-year-old hiker with a non-life threatening lower body injury near Griffith Park Monday morning, according to Margaret Stewart, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Officials were having trouble reaching the woman on the ground due to her location. Rescue crews were preparing to potentially hoist the woman by air, officials said.

The woman was hiking near the 2800 block of East Observatory Road.
