Los Angeles Police will be conducting sobriety checkpoints at various locations over the weekend.
LOS ANGELES, CA – Los Angeles Police will be conducting sobriety checkpoints at various locations over the weekend.
Sobriety checkpoints will be located in areas based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests, according to police. Officers will look for signs of alcohol or drug impairment and will check drivers for proper licensing.
LAPD reminds drivers to always use a designated driver, help impaired drivers find a sober way home, report drunk drivers and offer nonalcoholic drinks at parties.

Drivers caught driving impaired and charged with DUI can expect the impact of a DUI arrest to be upwards oof $13,500, police said.

- Olympic area: Thursday from 4 p.m. to Friday at 12 a.m.
- Vermont Avenue 3rd Street: Thursday from 6 p.m. to Friday at 1 a.m.
- Topanga Canyon Boulevard at Victory Boulevard: Thursday from 8 p.m. to Friday at 1 a.m.
- Florence Avenue at Main Street: Friday from 6 p.m. to Saturday at 1 a.m.
- Imperial Highway at Main Street: Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Whittier Boulevard at Fresno Street: Friday from 7 p.m. to Saturday at 12 a.m.
- Santa Monica Boulevard at Gower Street: Friday from 8 p.m. to Saturday at 1 a.m.
- Manchester Avenue at Main Street: Saturday from 6 p.m. to Sunday at 1 a.m.
- Vermont Avenue at Florence Avenue: Saturday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Roscoe Boulevard at Nagle Avenue: Saturday from 8. p.m. to Sunday at 1 a.m.
- Central Bureau: Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Mission Area: Sunday from 5 p.m. to Monday at 1 a.m.
