LAPD Motorcycle Officer Hurt In 210 Freeway Crash With Trucks

The crash shut down a portion of the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway Wednesday morning.

GLENDORA, CA — A Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer has been hospitalized following a crash involving two trucks on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in the Glendora area Wednesday morning. The crash shut down part of the freeway early Wednesday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The officer taken to a hospital for treatment of a possible broken leg, according to the LAPD. The crash occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. east of Barranca Avenue. The two truck drivers involved in the crash remained at the scene, and no arrests were reported.

The HOV and No. 1 lanes of the westbound 210 Freeway were closed for about an hour while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash.

According to the CHP, the officer was riding a 2015 LAPD-issued BMW motorcycle on his way to work when the crash occurred.
