The Los Angeles Chargers will reportedly sign pro-bowl cornerback J.C. Jackson in a five-year deal worth $82.5 million.
INGLEWOOD, CA — Former New England Patriots star cornerback J.C. Jackson is heading to the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chargers will give Jackson a five-year deal worth $82.5 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday. The deal includes $40 million guaranteed.
Jackson, 26, is coming off a pro-bowl season in which he finished second in the league in interceptions with eight and an NFL-best 23 passes defended.

Experts at Pro Football Focus gave Jackson an 82.7 overall grade last year and listed him as the fourth-best free agent available this off-season.
Drafted in 2018 out of the University of Maryland, Jackson will give the Chargers length and height. He stands 6 feet, 1 inch tall and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds.

Jackson joins the team shortly after the Chargers agreed to acquire superstar pass rusher Khalil Mack from the Chicago Bears.
