Man Beaten, 2 Cars Stolen By Gang Of 11 Men At SFV Auto Body Shop: Police

A man was beaten and two vehicles were stolen during the incident, police said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Nearly a dozen suspects roughed up a man and carjacked two vehicles from a San Fernando Valley body shop, police said Thursday.

Ten to 11 suspects in dark clothing descended upon the business in the 8500 block of Lankershim Boulevard in Sun Valley about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

At least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun, police said.

Two vehicles were stolen, a black Genesis and a white BMW, according to an LAPD spokesman.

An ambulance was called and the victim was taken to a hospital. News reports showed him with a bloody face, but he was conscious and alert.

The suspects remained on the loose Thursday morning.
