Person Scales Skyscraper In Downtown LA
Footage shows the unidentified person climbing the side of the 667-foot JW Marriott hotel on West Olympic Boulevard Tuesday morning.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A person was taken into custody Tuesday morning after climbing the JW Marriott hotel in downtown Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to KTLA, the unidentified person was spotted climbing the side of the 667-foot skyscraper at 900 West Olympic Boulevard at around 9:30 a.m. On the ground below was a large inflatable cushion placed by authorities, the outlet reported.
Authorities met the person at the top of the building and immediately took them into custody, according to the LAPD.

"They were able to negotiate to get him into custody," an LAPD spokesman confirmed to Patch.
In footage shared by FOX11, a banner that read "Support women, not abortion" is seen hanging from one of the windows, though it is not clear if the banner is related to the incident.
