Man Found Dead On Venice Beach, Gun Recovered: Police

VENICE, CA — A man was found dead on Venice Beach late Monday night, according to police.

Police responded to the 1800 block of Ocean Front Walk at around 11:15 p.m. Monday, where they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A gun was recovered at the scene, according to police, who said the death was being investigated as a possible suicide.

No suspect was being sought and there was no ongoing threat, according to the LAPD.

The victim was 35 years old, KTLA reported.

Footage from the scene aired by KTLA shows authorities had blocked off the beach near the shoreline, and a body was seen underneath a white sheet.
