Man Gets Stuck Under Metro Train After Jump Between Rail Cars
The man was critically injured, according to authorities.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man was hospitalized Wednesday after he fell under a Metro train while attempting to jump between rail cars, according to authorities.
"This morning, a person attempted to jump between rail cars as a train entered the Metro B/D Line Vermont/Santa Monica Station," reads a statement from Metro.
Firefighters responded to the Vermont/Santa Monica station at around 11 a.m., where they found the man underneath a train. The main was described as conscious and moving, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Crews initially were unable to gain access to the man, but were eventually able to extract him from under the train, according to the LAFD.
The man, described as being in his 40s, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

The incident disrupted service at the station temporarily. Passengers were directed toward buses between the Hollywood/Western and North Hollywood stations and from Hollywood/Western to Union Station.
