Man Shot In Hollywood Hills; Shooter At Large
Police are searching for a shooter who shot a man from outside the residence in the latest incidence of gun violence in the Hollywood area.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A man was shot in the Hollywood Hills above the Sunset Strip Thursday night, and his shooter remains at large. The shooting is the latest in a series of shootings on or around the Sunset Strip and surrounding hills.
The shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of North Clark Street. The shooter fired a weapon at the victim from outside the residence, said an LAPD spokesman.
There was no description of the suspect, who ran away from the scene, police said. Police did not publicly identify a motive for the shooting.

The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition. According to broadcast reports, he was conscious and talking to paramedics as he was wheeled onto an ambulance. No further details were available.
There have been multiple shootings near the Sunset Strip and surrounding area since the start of the summer. Police have not indicated that the shootings are connected.

A man was shot and killed on Hollywood Boulevard and another on Sunset Boulevard in September. No arrests have been made in those cases. Police shot and killed a man on Hollywood Boulevard in July and wounded another on Laurel Canyon Boulevard in August.
Also in August, four people were wounded in a shooting in West Hollywood, and the sheriff's department has not announced an arrest in that case.
