Mansion Party In Beverly Crest Stirs Up Trouble

The LAPD was called to a Beverly Crest mansion where dozens of people gathered for a large party against coronavirus health orders.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A crowded party at a mansion in Beverly Crest Monday night didn't sit well with neighbors or the Los Angeles Police Department.

The right to party is on hold in Los Angeles County due to a ban on large gatherings stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, but that didn't stop dozens of people from converging on the mansion at 13200 block of Mulholland Drive, near Franklin Canyon Park Monday evening. The party included a DJ and a food truck, according to , KCAL9. Police received at least five disturbing the peace calls from residents in the 13200 block of Mulholland Drive.

CBSLA quoted a private security officer from the scene, who said the party was hosted by an NFL player who had rented out the home on Airbnb

“We have money,” Kennie D. Leggett, security manager, told CBSLA. “We are people. This COVID, I mean, is just pushing us out everywhere, and we have nothing, so the only thing we do have is Airbnbs to rent swimming pools for our kids, to do big things and things of that nature.”

According to NBC, a party bus continued to drop off guests Monday evening.
