Nick Mason, at 77, could rest on his stellar career with Pink Floyd, an impressive legacy. After all, he was the only original band member featured on every Pink Floyd album, and the only one to last the entire time of Pink Floyd’s existence. But no. Instead, at 75, Nick launched a new band, “Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets” with whom he toured until the pandemic hit. Whereupon Nick simply went ahead and released an album and film, “Live at the Roundhouse.”

This is on top of his usual hobby of racing classic cars, competing successfully including at the prestigious “24 hours of Le Mans.” Among his many kudos, Nick received the cherished CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2019 New Year Honours for services to music presented by Prince William. Not bad for a life-long rock and roller.
